The development of Ukrainian folk ceramics occurred in various stages throughout history. Ceramics were produced in all areas of Ukraine rich in clay deposits, however Hutsul ceramic production was prominent in centers of Pistyn, Kosiv and Kuty.  Hutsul "maiolica" was adapted  to available raw materials ,all knowledge and accomplishments in the craft of pottery making were handed down from father to son ,with the entire family aiding in the preparations of ceramic products.

In conjunction with  the Ukrainian Museum's exhibit of " Village to Modern" , the Shop is  offering a collection of beautiful ,vintage Hutsul pottery, made in Ukraine ,featuring decorative plates, vases, candlesticks and tiles. Each item is handmade and unique.
